THE VETERINARY NURSES

The nurses and nursing assistants play a vital role in the practice, and provide invaluable assistance to the veterinary surgeons.

Our nurses have a varied routine involving assisting during consultations and operations and are involved with the care of our hospitalised patients and help with the general day-to-day running of the practices.

We employ a high ratio of Qualified Veterinary Nurses (VNs), and in addition Watkins and Tasker Vet Group has Approved Training Centre status for both the Yatton and the Nailsea surgeries, which means we can be actively involved in Professional training for our staff who can go on to qualify as VNs.

Our nurses regularly run different types of clinic, from puppy parties which are a great way to make your new pup friendly and sociable, to weight watcher clinics to help you help your pet lose weight. We also run rabbit health checks, and young animal growth checks. All the nurse clinics are provided free of charge.

As with our veterinary surgeons, the nurses are encouraged to pursue areas of special interest and to undertake further training throughout their careers.

ADMIN & RECEPTION STAFF

The administrative staff cover a wide variety of roles within the practice ensuring that our services are undertaken effectively and efficiently, and maintaining the upkeep of our premises and facilities.

You will find our reception staff to be friendly and welcoming when you phone or visit the practice for advice or to make an appointment.

We will ensure you are at ease if you have questions or concerns about your pet, and you will be efficiently directed to the right person should your enquiry be of a non-routine nature.

We will happily show you around the practice should you wish to see behind the scenes.
