Martin and Reg the Shar-Pei

“I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the care Steve has taken of my boy Reggie, he’s my absolute world and when he got sick I was extremely worried.  But Steve reassured me at all times and we got to the bottom of his illness. He’s now super fit again. So incredibly grateful for all of the support from the staff at Yatton and Portishead!  I can’t recommend you guys enough,  I wouldn’t take Reg anywhere else!”

"I would like to say a huge thank you to Victor, Cristina, Karen, Zoe and Aimee for looking after Maggie,  myself and Graham so well on Thursday evening. Aimee your numerous cups of black coffee and your care and attention was well appreciated, thank you. You kept me calm.  Huge thank you also to all the staff from front desk to nurses -  just everyone for all the friendly advice and help they have all given me during the process of this first time breeding.  All of you are second to none what a fantastic team of friendly people.  All are doing great and Maggie is a fantastic mummy.

Jill and Pixie, Tickenham

“Thank you for putting Pixie (cat) on the road to recovery this week. She's moving much as normal and was settled on her fleece/heated blanket when we left for work today.  Please say "thank you" to Christina and Mario for their care, of her and us, also your advice over the 'phone is excellent. Much appreciated.”

Bethan and Onyx (the Dog)

“Thank you to Steve and the team at Watkins & Tasker for helping Onyx recover from his broken leg. It helped me greatly to feel confident he was receiving the best care – everyone is so genuinely caring and professional. Even after all he went through Onyx still loves coming to the vet – a true testament to your skills and kindness.”

Mrs Ewing with Torrie

“My Bernese Mountain Dog Torrie is nearly seven and has elbow dysplasia. I was over the moon to find out you invested in the new Hydro facility and after a few sessions we saw a significant improvement in his mobility. The staff that I didn't know before have gone out of their way to welcome us and re-assure Torrie that he is in a safe environment. Special thanks to Holly, Jennie and George - lovely to meet you all. After two years I finally found the confidence to move him from our old vet as I had continued travelling there.”

“Bear's care and attention has always been of the highest order. Great team and genuinely wouldn't dream of going anywhere else”

Mrs Torrington with Ronnie & Reggie (the dogs)

“Just want to say an enormous thank you to Steve and his team for always being there for both my dogs, friendly, excellent service at all times. I have recommended Watkins and Tasker to all my friends.”

Louis Longlegs Gosney - "I've told mother what to write!!"

“My heart is a little bit poorly, but I was referred to ‘Super Mario’ at the Nailsea practice for an ECG and happily, the news was good. I have recently had a seizure so I have been back in to see everyone, (I don't mind - I get lots of fuss). Oh and they are fabulous at putting frantic humans at ease, (my apologies for Mother).”

Mrs Sally Comport, with Amber and Pepper

“Watkins and Tasker Vets and staff are always very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They all look after my two dogs with a warm welcome and smile. One of my dogs, Max, had a nasty medical condition and the information, treatment, and help I received from Steve Tasker was phenomenal.”

Vic, Margaret and Woody, Yatton

“When Woody, our chocolate lab became lame early this summer our hearts sank.  Was this going to be the end of our long walks together?

Since adopting Woody some seven years ago we have walked many miles, up mountains, along coasts paths and canals. The latter two Woody prefers - WATER!

After many tests and x-rays we were relieved to be told that all his joints and bones appeared to be fine, so the lameness became a mystery. But, with the patience and tenacity of Steve our vet, the problem was finally tracked down - cartilage.

So, after many weeks of treatment how is Woody? Well he's just fine and we will now be bringing him back into longer periods of exercise. We are not expecting him to climb mountains anymore - but then at our age neither will we.

All thanks to Steve and his team”

Paul Ford with Monty (the dog)

“Always excellent and friendly service. Most happy with results of recent operation on my chocolate lab, and the aftercare we received. Monty looks forward to his visits!”

Charlotte Stansfield with Honey, Lemon & Kiwi

“Everyone so helpful. Our guinea pigs are treated as seriously as if they were a large animal, i.e small furries matter as much as cats or dogs at Watkins and Tasker - thank you!”

Simon Dunn with Maude (the dog)

“I've had to bring in two of my dogs, both on Saturday mornings. The first time was with my Cocker pup and the second was when we thought our Border Terrier was dying. We saw a very nice vet each time and I thought both were excellent in every way, from the way they handled the dogs to their knowledge. Treatment was exceptional and both animals were on good form within 24hrs. You as a practice have always been very good and reasonable to us so this client is very happy.”

Mrs H of Nailsea

“I just want to compliment the Watkins and Tasker branch in Nailsea for your cat waiting room. I used to dread sitting in the main waiting area, often surrounded by excitable and occasionally quite aggressive dogs.  My cat also used to squeeze up at the end of the cat basket, obviously frightened.

It is so pleasant to now wait in the quiet area of your cat waiting room. I no longer dread a visit to the vet. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I'm sure my cat Chloe also appreciates it.”

Mrs Veal with Minnie (the Cat)

“I wanted to write a note of thanks to the staff at Nailsea and Yatton for taking such good care of Minnie over the last few weeks. Clearly her operation was very serious (and tricky!) and due to your expertise was a success. I am pleased to report that Minnie is making good progress and is almost back to her (naughty and mischievous) self. I am so grateful and glad that she survived! Many thanks again.”
